If I were given the ability to be invisible for twenty-four hours I would was no time in grabbing my archery tackle and heading to the woods. I would hunt from sun up to sun down to take full advantage of my limited period of invisibility. Invisibility would give me a huge advantage in hunting any game, because the number one thing that spooks wild game is movement. The animals would still be able to smell me, but they would be unable to see anything to cement their fears into actions and would likely pass off the smell as meaningless. My bow would still be able to be seen, but it is a lot easier to move and draw a bow without drawing attention to my location than it is to stand up and position my visible body and bow for the shot without spooking the animal that I intend to harvest.

If I were invisible for 24 hours I would do good deeds for people. I would find a family that was having trouble in some way and leave them money or food or whatever they needed. I could leave it somewhere for them, but be there without them knowing to see the joy in their eyes. This way I would also not be drawing attention to myself for doing something good for others.

Candace Lichvar said...

i think i would just watch people. not like stalk them or anything creepy like that but just watch how they interact with others. people fasinate me and you learn so much just by watching how they act, but sometimes the way they do things changes when they know that they are being watched. they are usualy more reseved or put on a show. and if they didnt no that any one else was around you could see them how they truly were. i think that would be interesting to do. becuase you would learn more about the person than you could ever do just by talking to them.

If I were given the ability to be invisible for 24 hours I would I would try to help people. I might help an old lady with her grocery cart, maybe give it that extra push to get it to the car, little things like that. Or I may just sit in my church and pray, I'm helping people by praying too. Having a day like that would be like a dream for me. Just sitting in silence, no one seeing me, all my troubles melting away. It may only last for a day, but that would be alright with me.

Anonymous said...

I would just observe everything that is going on, listen in on things that I normally couldn't, go places I couldn't normally go. That or I would get myself into a little bit of mischief and play a few tricks on friends and get a giggle out of it.

If I was invisible for 24 hours, I would probably go squirrel hunting. I would try to get close enough to the squirrel to catch it with my hands, and then i would take it home and eat it. After that, or if it was not a warm day, I go to sleep until my power wore off because I do not think that it would be very fun to be invisible, unless I could hunt.

Anonymous said...

Response to David's post,

I agree with Dave's ideas about using his power for an advantage for hunting. Being invisible would make it much easier to get much closer to game than would be normally possible. I don't know if grabbing a live squirrel with your hands would be a good idea.

If I were invisible for 24 hours, I would go around and see what others do in their free time (not exactly spying). People in this world today do so many different things. It would be cool to see what others do for a change. Most of us follow a certain routine almost everyday, such as get up, go to school, some kind of extra activity, go home, then go to bed. I think it would be awesome to see what someone else's routine is like and what it would be like to be them for a day.

Response to Leah's comment.

I certainly agree with Leah. It would be amazing to see the over-whelming look on someone's face after helping them with something that might be so simple to us. I personally think if you cannot actually get out and help them you should be praying for them. Praying does so much, its amazing.

If i were given the ability to be invisible for 24 hours i would just observe what others were doing around and how they acted when they thought no one was really watching. Also i would see how the person acts differently when around people and when they are by themselves. It would be interesting because you could tell if people were really being their true around you or some fake. I would also just watch people to see how they act in kindness for say. For example i would see if a person would hold a door open for someone else or just hold it just for them. Just little things like that I think would be interesting to see and observe while being invisible.

Alex Fleming said...

Response to Leah's post,

I agree with Leah on the fact of doing good deeds for those in need. You would be able to help out those who could really use the help and then be able to watch their reaction. This way while invisible you would be able to do something good of others and not just yourself. I think that Leah's idea is a very thoughtful and a good use of time.

kirsten compton said...

If i were given the gift of Invisiblity for a day i would probably scare the crap out of my Dad cause hes always trying to scare me. I would probably play tricks on teachers too (for example Mr. Holmes.)

kirsten compton said...

Repsonse to Leah: I think doing good deeds for someone is a wonderful idea and not drawing attention is a plus because sometimes people take things the wrong way. Seeing people happy is one of the most great feelings there is in the world.

Jenna Feight said...

If i were given invisbility for twenty-four hours I would play tricks on people and observe them to see how they react.

response to candace's comment
You really do learn a lot when you watch people.

Wow. To be invisible for 24 hours. Gee whiz its hard to tell what all i could do. I would first off tell my mom whats going on so she didnt get worried and have the search and rescue people looking for me, then when my 24 hours were upa nd i was just sitting at home i wouldn't be in trouble. I might do a few illegal things. I would try and have all the fun i possibly could. Go to a few movies that i couldn't see if i was visible. I would probably end up doing ridiculous little things like tap someone on their shoulder or try and walk through a wall. I might paint my self too. That would be SO cool. Holy cow i would be a huge walking peice of art that would be amazing. I could stare at attractive males with out looking silly. ( haha) OR just look at people in general i think it's so interesting how people are put together. Every different persons features are incredible in their own special way.

Anonymous said...

In response to Candace. I also agree with this idea. It would be really cool to be able to see someone the way they truly are. Sometimes people hide certain things about them in public, but then let their true colors and personality show when they're alone. By watching and observing someone being themself, you may learn something new about them and see them in totally new light. New friendships or greater respect may even come from this.

to jameee Gasperich

I never even thought about meditating. That would be amazing also. so just be able to let everything all your troubles and such melt away even if like you said is for only a day. To be in total serenity woudl be marvelous.

Anonymous said...

Dave, you'll be cooking that squirrel first, right?

Anonymous said...

To be completely honest, i'd probably have as much fun with it as possible.. i might do a few things that i couldnt do while being visible.. but not hurt or murder or anything like that! i'd find where ever lil wayne was and like sneak onto his tour bus or something and just like admire him haha :) i'd probably pull pranks on people too and like poke them and no one would be there.. id get a laugh out of being invisible!

Anonymous said...

If i had the power to be invisible, i would do everything in my power to help others. Normal acts of kindness would be percieved as near miracles and would cause amazment in nearly anyone. For example like someone stopped to get gas, and they get out to pump their gas and its already convienently pumping. I would just do little deeds for people and observe how they reacted to them in my 24 hour time period.

Anonymous said...

I also agree with hillary after reading her comment. I too would also try to have a good time while invisible. I would do this because lets be honest, being invisible doesnt happen everyday and i would take full adavantage of it.

Anonymous said...

Assuming I’d wake up invisible, I’d probably proceed to make myself breakfast, all the while, making stupid jokes like “Time to get my invisible eggs,” or “Cripes! I poured too much invisible milk!” After breakfast, my status as a premiere ornithologist would quickly become boring, and I’d desire for some human interaction, but because of my oober cool invisibility, my idea of “human interaction” would be messing with, belittling, or stealing from. I don’t think I’d go as far as Griffin and kill someone, but I would love watching people watch a new shirt or something just float out of the door. And to please myself further, I’d bark and snarl at all who got close to me. Other illegal things I would do include piracy, copyright infringement, and j-walking.

Anonymous said...

To candace:

That too, sounds interesting.

Anonymous said...

Invisibility is an interesting concept. Reading The Invisible Man makes me wonder if I would really want to be Invisible for even a 24 hrs. However, if I were invisible I think I would go explore Area 51. Invisibility would enable me to spend a day undetected exploring one of the nations largest and most secure secrets. I would chose Area 51 over other places that I could visit because it would be interesting to see why Area 51 is such a heavily guarded secret.

Anonymous said...

If I was invisible for twenty four hours, I think I would hide. I don't think I would want to pull pranks on people, and I wouldn't want to spy on them either. I guess I'm just boring. I think I would just avoid everyone and make them wonder what happened to me. The most I would do is leave the house and go off on my own, as long as it's somewhere without a lot of people. I really wouldn't want to be caught and sent to a research lab for testing.

If I were invisible for 24 hours I would find out enough information on the people who run the government so that, I could force them to run our country in a better way. For the people, not for the rich and the snobs. All our government cares about is money and themselves. We have people dying on the streets, workers that don't get paid enough, and millions of other things that should be better for this country. Maybe with my invisibility I could possibly find ways to make our country a better place to live in.

Anonymous said...

I agree with Candance on how she would spend her 24 houes of invisibility. I wouldn't want to be a creeper or anything but being able to see how people interact with their families and others outside school would be interesting to see. I would be able to see really who influenced them to be who they are.

Anonymous said...

If I were invisble for 24 hours I would probably either follow people around and listen to there conversations or I would go around and scare people till I was bored. Then I'd probably go home and sleep... actually in all reality i probably be really scared for a while and would wonder whats happening and why i am invisible.

Anonymous said...

In response to Ian H. I agree I'd probaly eat breakfast first too. and then I would scare people

Anonymous said...

If I was invisible for 24 hours, I honestly would have no idea what to do. After thinking for a few days on this topic (and having some input from a friend) I would probably attempt as many (good-natured) pranks on as many (fun-loving) friends as possible. It doesn't seem like me, I know, but being invisible gives you a different outlook, feeling invisible and invincible. I couldn't be specific, of course, with what I would do. If I did, then everybody would know it was me when it happened to them, and there goes the fun and surprise from it.

Anonymous said...

I agree with Olivia on her comment, I'm not a huge fan of our government and how it seems to be running, and hopefully get out of this recession.

Anonymous said...

If I were invisible for 24 hours I would sneek on airplanes and go to as many places as I could. I wouldn't have to buy a ticket and I could go anywhere I wanted (within 24 hours). Eventually I would have to find food but that would be easy because I'm invisible.

Anonymous said...

I like Olivia's idea, it'd be fun to see how many secrets you would learn just because people didn't know you were there.

Anonymous said...

If i were invisible for 24 hours i would probably just enjoy the sensation that no could see me. I would do things as usual and experiment how i could be of some use to others if i were always invisible. If i got the chance i would probably play some pranks on people and get it on film.... haha.

Anonymous said...

i like shellys idea of travelling, that would be so fun, you could go across seas to other countries. but what would happen if you sat in someone's seat and they sat on you?

Anonymous said...

If I was given the ability to become invisible for 24 hours, I would probably help people that needed it. However, I would choose people that were too stubborn, proud, or just too kind to ask for someone's help. Then they wouldn't have to ask someone because someone invisible would help them. For an example, perhaps someone couldn't afford to give their family a good holiday dinner, I would give them a turkey or ham or whatever they desired. I think it would be nice to get to help someone and truly see the joy they have without them feeling obliged to do something in return or thank me.

Anonymous said...

If I were invisible for 24 hours I wouldn't really know what to do! I mean I would probably do some hunting and then i would probably play soem good-natured jokes on some of my friends and family. I could also do some AWESOME eavesdropping and observe people in their akward moments.

Anonymous said...

I think Alex's idea on what she would do if she was invisible is very interesting. She makes a good point. I think it would be surprising to see what people would do when they think no one is watching.

Anonymous said...

I agree with Candace, you can learn a lot from just observing people for a little while. It gives you the chance not to judge too quickly and to find out who they really are when nobody is there judging them.

Anonymous said...

If I could become invisible for 24 hours I'm not absolutely sure of what I would do. At first I would probably try playing tricks on my friends and family, for all those times they did to me. Next I would probably attempt to hunt while being invisible. After that I would love to kind of sit back while my friends were talking and listen to see if they have anything to say about me, if they do at all, it would be a test of whose my real friend and who isn't.

Anonymous said...

Being invisible for just 24 hours would be pretty cool. After reading The Invisible Man, I wouldn’t want to be invisible much longer than that. While being invisible, I would probably just prowl around seeing what people are really like. People-watching is always enjoyable, and it would be better if people wouldn’t see me watching them. It would be interesting to sit in the front of a movie theater and watch what everyone does during the movie. I’d also play trick on friends. I might even do a couple of anonymous good deeds for people.

Anonymous said...

Response to kirsten...

I agree with her a lot. I met her dad and wow he does play tricks on her more than anything. It would be fun to get back at everyone to.

Anonymous said...

If I were given the ability to become invisible for 24 hours, I would help those in need. I don't want to be given the credit for helping someone if they are really in need of the help. Just do it and get it done so that they are happy. Too many times people help others for the wrong reasons. They want attention brought to themselves and that is wrong. Help someone to relieve the burden that they have. When I help someone a simple thank you does the trick for me. Just to know that they are better off now and don't have to worry about that anymore. Since I would be invisible, I would stick around to see how they react and then I would move on to the next person and see how I can help them.

Anonymous said...

I like Leah’s idea of helping people who really need it. Shelly’s airplane idea is cool. It would be really awesome to see all the most stellar places in the world without paying. The only problem is there probably won’t be anywhere to sit on the plane. I definitely don’t agree with Caleb’s idea of hunting all day.

Anonymous said...

I agree with Candace. It would be very interesting to watch people when they don't think they're being watched. A lot of times people act a different way to try to be accepted when all they have to do is be themselves. It would be interesting to see what they do when they're alone or acting as themselves.

Anonymous said...

If i was given the ability to be invisible then i would watch people and listen in to conversations they had. I would want to invade or anything but it would be interesting to see what people really think or how they really act when no one is around. I would go somewhere that normaly when i was visible i couldn't go and just watch people.

Anonymous said...

Unless I could control being invisible on and off and can be invisible for a total of twenty-four hours, I can't really think of any good things to do except live my life as if I were never invisible.
And what good thing can you do by being invisible anyway?
Besides, walking around public places without clothes on, even though other people wouldn't see you, would be really awkward.

Anonymous said...

In response to Leah and some of the other people who said they would do simple good deeds while they were invisible; why do you need to be invisible to do those things? You can do all those good things when you're perfectly viewable.
Invisibility is just a trick on the eye. Otherwise, you're still a normal human.
And what's wrong with drawing attention to yourself? There's still a little thing called modesty.
The way you're putting it, Leah, you almost sound afraid to help people out in the open.

Unknown said...

the worlds oldest question... so famous Clay Aiken has written a song about it. If I were invisible (for 24 hours)?
I believe I would start my day by waking up a couple of 4-7 year olds and scare the bejesus out of them. Then it would be off to the public pool for a swim and a bunch of people wondering what just touched them. Invite Davey over for some squirrel, terrorize wal-mart, drive to Tyrone and stroke Mr. Holmes' receading hair while wearing my wig. That just about sums it up.

Unknown said...

I would just like to know if Dave cooked that squirrel before he ate it?

Anonymous said...

I agree with Allison Griffith on her comment that I alson wouldn't want to be caught and sent to a lab to be tested.

Anonymous said...

In respone to what Brittany and many other people said I think it would be fun to just go around and play tricks on people. Even if it wasn't very nice some things you would never be able to do unless you were invisible.

Anonymous said...

I would try to see how people react to an invisible person, then film it, kind of like a candid camera show.

Anonymous said...

Response to Candace:

I think that people would act differently and that would be fun to see.

Anonymous said...

If I were invisible for 24 hours I would, first-off, stay awake for the entire length of time that i was invisible (you don't want to sleep with that kind of power in your hands, that's just a waste). One of the things I absolutely know I would do is drive my mom's mini-van around, even though I only have my permit. If officers would pull me over they would scream like little girls and be like "Ah! A ghost was driving this mini-van!." It would be funny to trick people like that. Also, if i were a school day, I would walk around the school creeping people out and messing with Mr. Holmes. I would probably secretly video-tape him doing embarressing things for the next julesrulesproductions video.

Anonymous said...

In response to Mark Patterson: I believe I would like to get Mark stroking Mr. Holme's recieting hairline while wearing a wig on camera. I would laugh my butt off and Mr. Holmes would get freaked out from all of the weird sounds and touches he would get because all of his students are invisible.

Anonymous said...

If I became invisible for 24 hours I would play small ticks on my brother just for fun. It would also be fun to make things float in midair and shock my family. Afterward I would tell them I am invisible. I could also make a fantastic video, no CGI needed!

Anonymous said...

I like Hillary's idea to follow around your favorite celeb without them even knowing, it would make for a rather interesting day.

Anonymous said...

If i had the ablitity to be invisible for 24 hours i would probably just watch people and see all the weird stuff they do when they think noone is watching. When people know if someone is watching they act different then when they are alone, and I think it would be fun to observe them without them knowing. By doing this I would be able to see a different side of them than a normally do. I also might play a few harmless tricks on a few of my very close friends and have great laughs about it later on.

Anonymous said...

In response to Leah, I agree with her on wanting to help a family that is in need.

Anonymous said...

I agree with juli about not wanting to be invisible much longer than 24 hours because it just causes a lot of problems.

Anonymous said...

If i were invisible for 24 hours i dont think i would know what to do to start with. After the inital shock wore off i would probably follow people im friends with around to see what they are really like when no one is around. people will act different when they think no one is near.you can really learn who a person is just by watching them. someone you no may not always be truthful with you if you straight out ask them but they cant deny it if you see it for real.

Anonymous said...

i agree with Jamee about helping people but if no one knows your invisible they may think they are crazy if their cart suddenly mst fast. you may be helping them but you could also scare them to no end.

Anonymous said...

i agree with Olivia that watching the people in the government would be a good thing to do. you never know what is really going on in the government and if you were to get a chance to make a change in it go for it.

Kaitlyn Forgas said...

If i were to become invisible for 24 hours i would not try to clothe myself up and disguise myself. I would walk around and listen to people talking about anything. Go where people were in groups of 2 and scare them. Other than that i wouldnt really want to do anything else. Like Griffin wanted to do scaring people is what would be pretty fun about invisibility. Also helping people out where they needed it. If they were carrying something heavy up the steps give them a hand, if somebody dropped their cell phone or keys I could put it back. I wouldnt have to be recognized.

Kaitlyn Forgas said...

Responding to Jennifer Eschmann's blog. I would do what she would do seeing if I had great friends but I wouldnt hold them against talking about me to be honest, no big deal everyone talks. I wouldnt hunt though thats the boringest thing on the planet to do and being invisible hunting doesnt sound fun to me.

Amy Miller said...

First thing I would do is go rob some money. The invisible man was pretty smart about that one, even though it is wrong..who wouldn't? Maybe take it off of someone who has enough of it. My honest answer.

Amy Miller said...

yea i agree with hillary about the lil wayne ordeal and everyone elses basically i like the prank pulling ideas and ians breakfast thing.

Anonymous said...

Response to caleb,

I think that would be a awesome way to use invisbility

Anonymous said...

If I got to be invisible for 24 hours, I would definitely have fun freaking people out. (: I'd go into a store and start carrying boxes around behind customers...really get creative with it. Eavesdropping would be on my list of things to do to; I'm not usually nosy, but it'd be interesting to see how some people actually speak, what they say, and what they do when they think others aren't paying attention.

Anonymous said...

Response to Brit's post;;

Gaining things and experiences that you normally couldn't is a really great idea. And getting a giggle out of it? ohh yeah (: so much fun.

David Frederick said...

IN RESPONSE TO LIAM. I agrre to both Liam's statement and his reply to Leah's. Being invisible would not be fun in my opinion, and I do not think that you need to be invisible to help people.

Anonymous said...

I like how everyone is doing the stereotypical "Oh, I would use my invisibility to help people". I don't know...it made me laugh.

Anonymous said...

Candace,
That sounds cool. I would also enjoying taking part in that. Maybe someday, when were both invisible, we can sit and watch people. Of course, I'd be tempted to mess up little things with people and make then feel like my minions of entertainment. I guess thats kind of sick, but whatever.

*side note*
I feel deprived of the interenets capabilities because i cant say stuff like "oober haxXor" and
"R3411y b4d Gr4|\/||\/|3r" and "abv's, e.g., IMHO"
did that make sense to anyone?

Anonymous said...

If I was able to be invisible I don't know what I would do. I would go and find a pair of invisible bottoms cause its a little cold this time of year. Wink wink cough cough. Anyway I would probably go hunting cause in a way its sort of a advantage and go drive a car around town just to freak out the locals.

Ian Gibbs said...

Seeing as how such an experience would most likely be a once in a life time opportunity, I would do my best to have a good time doing what i please while maintaining self restraint. Having those capabilities would cause anybody to feel like they could do anything and because we've seen what this causes, its obvious that anyone who experienced a phenomenon of this sort would have to practice extensive self-disipline. Being invisible, even during such a short time as twenty-four hours, would without a doubt cause a person to become accustomed to the temporary effects and therefore would feel like an even greater loss once the effects had worn off, and for this reason I personaly would choose to never receive the ability in the first place.

Ian Gibbs said...

In response to Olivia's comment,

I find the idea about snooping around government activity to be awesome. There truely are many things that go on in our government which are kept secret from us, and achieving any type of information in a situation such as that would be highly valuable along with being extremly entertaining.
